Keep Chatsworth Murray Beautiful
Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Chatsworth, Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful (KCMB), is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the beautification and preservation of the natural beauty in Murray County. Founded, organized and managed by Frank Adams, formerly of Keep Smyrna Beautiful in Atlanta and a native of Chatsworth, Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful is going on its third year of operation.
From its inception, KCMB has rapidly and steadily increased the number of both volunteers and visitors preventing litter, contributing to the beautification of our community and reducing waste.

What is Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful?
Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful (KCMB) is a group of dedicated individuals with a personal commitment to choices and actions that preserve natural beauty, protect the environment, prevent blight, improve public lands and make our community a better, safer place to live. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), we embrace litter prevention, waste reduction and community beautification through diverse programs, as well as educational initiatives. KCMB engages individuals and groups in a number of ways:
To engage individuals to take greater responsibility and pride in their community while becoming stewards of the environment.
Our Focus
Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful strives to change behaviors and improve the community through:
Litter Prevention: Defining litter, identifying the cause, reducing it, organizing clean-ups and properly handling discarded waste in our community.
Waste Reduction: Reducing the impact of solid waste in our communities through integrated programs including source reduction and reuse, recycling and education about landfills, composting and waste-to-energy.
Beautification: Improving the visual aspects of our community through programs that beautify and naturally clean our environment including community gardens, restoring vacant lots, highway beautification and graffiti prevention.

About our Founder
Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful was founded by Frank Adams of Chatsworth, Georgia. Originally from Chatsworth and one of eleven brothers and sisters, Frank attended Chatsworth Elementary and Murray County High School where he played football and basketball as well as being the president of his Senior class. He attended Lincoln Memorial University where he met his wife, Peg. Frank and Peg have been married now for 50+ years and have five children, eleven grandchildren and three great grandsons. Frank also attended Kennesaw State University where he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.

What is Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful?
Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful (KCMB) is a group of dedicated individuals with a personal commitment to choices and actions that preserve natural beauty, protect the environment, prevent blight, improve public lands and make our community a better, safer place to live. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), we embrace litter prevention, waste reduction and community beautification through diverse programs, as well as educational initiatives. - The KCMB Board consists of 17 dedicated volunteers who work energetically to make things happen in our community.
- Over 80 miles of county and state roads are picked up of litter each quarter by over 70 volunteer groups of citizens.
- Volunteers read to our local elementary school students.
- Murray County is the only county in the state to have recycling programs in place in all public schools.
- KCMB is involved annually in "Bring One in for the Chipper" (Christmas tree recycling), Hands on Georgia, Conasauga River Clean Up, Annual Great American Clean Up and Ecumenical Earth Day.
