Planning serves the community by assisting citizens with all aspects of land development and we are up to date with the latest building code editions and we are glad to answer any questions that will assist in the planning and estimating stage of any commercial, industrial or residential project. We also recognize the importance of zoning controls, city ordinances and are working closely with planning and zoning commission to help maximize property values.
We provide a wide array of comprehensive planning and land use regulatory services to the residents and development community of Chatsworth.

Erosion control, building permits, stormwater permits, plan review for subdivision, multi-family and industrial, commercial development, certificate of occupancy, inspection records, zoning verifications.
The Department receives and processes the following:
Zoning and Variance cases are not guaranteed. A development discussion is not an assurance of issuance of a building permit, business license (OTC), or assurance of possible zoning change.
The plan review process requires review and acceptance by multiple reviewers before approval.
